Dear customers, partners, and industry colleagues,
I am delighted to announce that effective October 2, 2017, Nancy Koenig will join Caremerge as its new CEO and member of the Board of Directors. This is an exciting milestone for Caremerge that will allow us to accelerate our growth, while continuing to make a positive impact in the senior living industry.
In less than five years, Caremerge has established itself as a leading premier brand in bringing engagement solutions for staff, seniors and their families within senior living. I am extremely proud of the work we have done to streamline communication between these three critical stakeholders in our industry. We would not have been able to accomplish all this progress without the strong partnership of our clients, the dedication of the entire Caremerge team, and the continued support of our investors. However, this is just the beginning. We have only begun to scratch the surface of the entire opportunity that awaits us to improve experiences and engage these stakeholders.
In recognition of these accomplishments and the growth trajectory ahead of us, I recently made the recommendation to our Board of Directors to bring in a new CEO to help lead the way in this next phase of our evolution. We are excited to have identified Nancy Koenig for this role. She is a technology veteran and brings the right mix of scaling sales & operations expertise, while also possessing the empathy and compassion to help us continue our lead in senior living. Most recently, Nancy was COO at MERGE Healthcare (a medical imaging company), where she helped grow significant market share in acute-care, and contributed to its successful $1 billion exit to IBM Watson.
Nancy shares her excitement stating, “I am thrilled to join the Caremerge team. I strongly feel that we have tremendous opportunity ahead of us in enhancing lives and experiences for senior living staff, residents and their families. I look forward to serving the industry in this new role.” Additionally, Dan Hermann, Head of Investment Banking at Ziegler and member of the Board of Directors at Caremerge stated, “It has been an amazing journey at Caremerge. The Board of Directors are ecstatic about Nancy joining as the new CEO. We look forward to working with Nancy and bringing about positive and impactful transformation in our industry.”
As one can imagine, this was not an easy decision for me. However, based on the historical evidence behind some of the successful technology companies, it was clear that Caremerge could benefit from a leader with expertise in significant scaling. This move not only puts Caremerge in an accelerated path to growth, but also allows our employees and customers to rest assured that we are committed to continuously improving their experience along the way.
I look forward to working closely with Nancy, the executive team, and the broader Caremerge team in my new role as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a Strategic Advisor. I am personally committed to post-acute-care and will make sure that we are poised for success together with our clients, partners, teams and investors.
Please join me in welcoming Nancy to the Caremerge team!
Cheers,
Asif Khan
Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Strategic Advisor
